蕭宇倢以探究物質之特殊性為主軸，專注於宣紙的材質氣氛與細微變化。其創作關注於如何觀看，並著重對事物純粹的理解及感知。作品透過紙張纖維的堆疊、收縮與光線之間的穿透、反射形塑出畫面，詮釋出平面及立體之間的曖昧空間。經由非敘事的視覺節奏，展現層疊後的紙張肌理在時間與光影中的流動，使宣紙擺脫傳統樣板的框架，拓展紙本媒材的當代視覺語彙，引導觀者回歸事物本質、延伸觀看的可能性。
Hsiao Yu-Chieh focuses on the unique properties of materials, specializing in exploring the novel possibilities of xuan paper in contemporary art. Her works invite viewers to intuitively observe the physical form of the materials presented before them. At the same time, she raises questions about how we see and how we understand things. The materiality of the works and the space and tactile sensations encourage viewers to confront the physical realities of the present moment and to deeply reflect on how we perceive and relate to art in this digital age. This understanding is objective and non-judgmental, offering a multi-faceted awareness of things.
